Terms of Service for Trenzi

1. Agreement to These Terms

Welcome to Trenzi. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Trenzi (“Trenzi”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the Trenzi mobile application, the website at trenzi.app, and every feature, content and service we offer through them (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Child Safety Policy, which are part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who Can Use Trenzi

• You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for using a service like ours.
• If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
• You must not be barred from using the Service under the laws of any applicable jurisdiction, and you must not have been previously removed from Trenzi.
• You may only use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes unless we have agreed otherwise (for example, through the Market or a Trenzi business feature).

3. Your Account

• Sign-in: You sign in with a verified phone number and a 4-digit PIN, an email address and password, or a linked Google or Apple account. You may enable Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint sign-in on your own devices.
• Security: Keep your PIN, password and devices secure. Do not share your credentials. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account until you tell us it has been compromised at [email protected].
• Accuracy: Keep your phone number and email current. We use them to help you recover your account and to send important notices.
• One person, one account: Do not create accounts for others, buy or sell accounts, or create additional accounts to evade restrictions or to gain an unfair advantage in competitions or games.
• Deletion: You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. Some information may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Your Content

“Content” means anything you post, upload, stream or share on Trenzi — photos, videos, stories, live streams, comments, messages, listings, profile details and more.

• You own your Content. These Terms do not transfer ownership to us.
• Licence to Trenzi: So we can run the Service, you grant Trenzi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example, to create thumbnails, previews or different resolutions), display, perform and distribute your Content in connection with operating, promoting and improving the Service. This licence ends when you delete the Content or your account, except where the Content has been shared by others and they have not deleted it, or where we are required to keep it by law.
• Your promises: You have all rights needed to post your Content; it does not infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights; and it complies with these Terms and our Community Guidelines.
• Public by default: Unless you make your account private, your profile, posts and interactions are visible to everyone. Direct messages are visible only to their participants. Anything you share can be seen, saved or re-shared by others — think before you post.
• Feedback: If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

5. Community Guidelines

Trenzi is a global community. You agree not to post, share or do anything that:

• Is illegal, or promotes illegal activity.
• Sexualises, endangers or exploits minors in any way. We have zero tolerance for this — see our Child Safety Policy. Such content is removed, the account is terminated and the matter is reported to the relevant authorities.
• Contains nudity or sexual content, graphic violence, or content that glorifies self-harm.
• Harasses, threatens, bullies, doxxes or impersonates any person, or is hateful toward a person or group on the basis of a protected characteristic.
• Is spam, a scam, misleading, or manipulates engagement (fake votes, bots, vote-trading, coordinated inauthentic behaviour).
• Infringes copyright, trademark or other rights, or shares private information without consent.
• Contains malware, or attempts to access the Service or other users’ accounts without authorisation, scrape the Service, or interfere with its operation.
• Circumvents any feature restriction, age gate, regional restriction, or moderation decision.

We may remove Content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, withhold or reverse rewards, and take any other action we consider appropriate when we believe these rules have been broken. You can report Content or accounts from within the app.

6. Coins, Gifts and Creator Earnings

• Coins are a virtual item you can buy inside the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and sometimes receive from Trenzi as a promotion. Coins are a limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use a feature of the Service. They are not money, have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be exchanged, sold, transferred or refunded except where required by law. Purchases are final.
• Gifts are sent by spending coins on another user’s post or live stream. Sending a gift is voluntary and non-refundable.
• Creator earnings: When you receive gifts, a share of their value (as shown in the app at the time) is credited to your Trenzi balance. Trenzi retains the remainder as a platform fee. We may change the share and the catalogue of gifts from time to time; changes apply to gifts sent after the change.
• Payouts: Balances can be withdrawn through the payout methods offered in the app, subject to minimum amounts, identity verification, payment-provider rules and applicable law. We may delay, withhold or reverse payouts where we suspect fraud, manipulation, chargebacks or a breach of these Terms.
• Taxes: You are responsible for any taxes on amounts you earn through Trenzi.
• Loss of balance: Coins and balances are forfeited if your account is terminated for breach of these Terms, and unused coins are forfeited if you delete your account.

7. Competitions and Games

• Competitions: Users may enter Content into competitions where the community votes and winners receive a prize stated in the app. Votes come from the daily vote wheel, from earned votes and, where offered, from votes bought with coins. Entries must comply with these Terms; ineligible entries may be removed at any time.
• Games: Trenzi may offer skill games with prize pools. Prizes, eligibility and the way winners are determined are shown in the app for each game.
• No purchase necessary: Free entry and free votes are always available. Buying coins does not improve your chance of winning a game of skill.
• Fair play: Using multiple accounts, bots, automation, vote-trading, exploits or any other unfair means will result in disqualification, forfeiture of prizes and possible termination.
• Eligibility and law: Competitions and games are void where prohibited. You are responsible for checking that taking part is lawful where you live. We may restrict participation or prize payment in particular countries or regions.
• Prizes: Prizes are credited to your Trenzi balance and paid under Section 6. We may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. We may cancel or change a competition or game where necessary for legal, technical or integrity reasons.

8. Market

• The Market lets users list items or services for sale and lets others contact them. Trenzi is a venue: we are not a party to any sale, we do not own or inspect listed items, and we do not guarantee any listing, seller, buyer, delivery or payment.
• Sellers are responsible for their listings being accurate, lawful and theirs to sell, and for complying with consumer, tax and shipping laws that apply to them.
• Prohibited listings include anything illegal, counterfeit, stolen, hazardous, regulated (weapons, drugs, tobacco, alcohol, medicines), adult, or otherwise against our Community Guidelines.
• Promoted listings and listing packages are paid features and are non-refundable once the promotion has started, except where required by law.
• Trade carefully. Meet in safe public places, do not send money to people you do not know, and report suspicious listings.

9. Subscriptions and Paid Features

• Trenzi Premium and creator subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or a card payment provider shown at checkout, at the price displayed before you confirm.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. Manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings, or in the app where the subscription was bought with a card.
• Refunds for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. For card purchases made directly with us, contact [email protected].
• We may change prices; changes take effect at your next renewal and we will notify you in advance.

10. Live Streams, Chat and Clubs

• Live streams are public and may be recorded by Trenzi for moderation and safety. Streamers are responsible for everything that appears on their stream.
• Messages and group chats are private to their participants, but we may review them when reported or when we have reason to believe they violate these Terms or the law.
• Club owners and admins are responsible for moderating their clubs in line with these Terms.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service — including its software, design, logos, the Trenzi name and all content we provide — is owned by Trenzi or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your personal use, in line with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from any part of the Service, or use our trademarks without our written permission.

Copyright complaints: If you believe Content on Trenzi, including music or a sound, infringes your copyright, see our Copyright Policy for how to send a notice or report a sound from the app. You can email [email protected] with the URL or a description of the Content, proof of your ownership, your contact details and a statement made in good faith that the use is not authorised. We remove infringing Content and terminate repeat infringers.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service uses third-party services such as Apple, Google, Firebase, payment providers and content delivery networks, and may link to third-party websites. Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for third-party services or content.

13. Termination

• You may stop using Trenzi and delete your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate your access, remove Content, or limit features at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, created risk or legal exposure for us or others, or where required by law. We may also discontinue the Service or any part of it.
• On termination your licence to use the Service ends, and any coins or balance may be forfeited under Section 6. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 4, 6, 11, 14, 15 and 16) survive termination.

14. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trenzi disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not guarantee that Content is accurate, that the Service will meet your needs, that you will earn any particular amount, or that any prize, payout or Market transaction will be completed. Content posted by users is their responsibility, not ours.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trenzi and its officers, employees, contractors and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or earnings, arising from or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and (b) USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

16. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Trenzi and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your Content, your use of the Service, your Market listings or transactions, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

17. Disputes

If you have a problem, contact us first at [email protected] — most issues can be resolved quickly. These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Trenzi is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought in the courts of that country, except that nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of the country where you live. Each of us agrees to bring claims only on an individual basis and not as part of a class or representative action, to the extent permitted by law.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the change means you accept the updated Terms. The effective date at the top shows when these Terms were last revised.

19. General

• These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Child Safety Policy are the entire agreement between you and Trenzi about the Service.
• If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
• Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
• You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to an affiliate or successor.
• App Store users: these Terms are between you and Trenzi, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support and is not responsible for any claims relating to the app, but is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
